Payroll information deserves careful handling.
This page explains the practical way Connect Payroll handles business and employee payroll information. It is product information, not legal advice or a replacement for your organisation’s privacy notice.

Information the service may store
Depending on the features a business uses, Connect Payroll may store business details, employee names and employment dates, pay rates and hours, PAYE/NPF/ACC settings, leave balances, payment method, encrypted bank details, payslip delivery status, attendance imports and audit events.
Why it is used
The information is used to set up a payroll workspace, calculate and review pay, prepare wage statements and registers, record payroll history, and provide support when the business asks for help.
Attendance is optional
A business can run manual payroll without a biometric device or timesheet import. Attendance data is only used when the business chooses to add it.
Access and separation
Each business is represented as a separate workspace. Access is granted to invited payroll users, and permissions are checked before business data is returned. Platform support surfaces show onboarding metadata only; they are not a second way to browse employee pay or bank details.
- Do not share accounts, login codes or invitation links.
- Bank details are masked in normal screens and should not be copied into ordinary email or support tickets.
- Use a redacted screenshot or error message when requesting support.
- Never use live employee data in demonstrations or development.
Customer choices and requests
Ask your organisation’s payroll officer first for corrections to employee or payroll records. For a product support, access, export or deletion request, contact support@connectpayroll.ws. We will verify the requester and coordinate with the business owner before changing or releasing information.
Payroll records may need to be retained by the business for its own accounting, employment or statutory obligations. Connect IT will not delete a customer’s records unilaterally where the customer has instructed that they be retained.
Security and incidents
Connect Payroll uses tenant access controls, server-side secrets, encrypted bank-detail storage, masked displays and audit records as practical safeguards. No online service can promise zero risk. If information may have gone to the wrong person, an account or device may be compromised, or a login code was exposed, contact support@connectpayroll.ws immediately and do not forward the affected payroll file.
